My Stuff Your Stuff Swap

The Paper Traders group hosted a fun swap recently called My Stuff Your Stuff Swap. The idea was to trade an envelope of "stuff" with your partner then make and return an ATC created with what you received. I loved this idea because it's always so interesting to see what someone else likes to use in their art. I was partnered with Cathy of A Surcee Life who is one of the moderators at Paper Traders and a sweet, talented artist. Be sure to stop by her blog and say hello and take a look around. Cathy sent me an envelop brimming with stuff....lovely images and papers, alphabets and flowers...so much fun...just take a look! This is the card I made from just a small portion of what Cathy sent me.

Cathy was so generous and made me TWO cards in return. Aren't they wonderful...I just love them! Thank you Cathy!

Vintage Gluebook ATC Swap

I'm still enjoying my vintage gluebook inspired by Mary at Green Paper. I was so happy when she decided to organize an atc swap with the group and I was thrilled with the cards I received! Thank you Mary for organizing the swap and thanks to Susan, Linda, Jo, Frieda and Joy...your cards are lovely! Here are the cards I made for the swap. If you're interested in Mary's Vintage Gluebook Workshop she's still offering it in a self paced version. Go take a look!

Sew Wonderful ATC Swap

Vintage sewing notions, old buttons, patterns...I just love these things and can't pass them by whenever I'm thrift store shopping. I was in a "sew wonderful" swap lately and it turned out to be one of my favorites. Here is the card I made and the wonderful ones I got in return. Thank you Debbie, Diane, Becky and Jan...I love your cards!

Red Lead Artful Holiday ATC Swap

The latest ATC swap on the Red Lead group is called Artful Holidays. You could choose from Christmas, Halloween, Spring/Easter or Valentine's Day...one or a combination...and make a set of ATC's to trade. Chris and Sharon are planning the first ever Red Lead ZINE and some of ATCs created for this swap with be featured in it. How fun is that?! And, if that's not enough...one lucky swapper will be chosen at random to win a $100 Red Lead gift certificate...woohoo! Here are my ATC's for the swap. I thought I was going to do a combination of holidays but once I got started I just got into the Christmas spirit and couldn't stop!

ATCs

I never get tired of making ATCs....her are three I've made for recent swaps. It's interesting how I seem to get in a color rut now and then. Do you think I'm going through a brown phase?? The images used for "Then and Now" came from Lisa Vollrath and Ten Two Studios. She has some great downloadable sets with color co-ordinated bits and pieces. You can see them all on her site here. Sorry about the blurry scan on the Spring House card...my scanner just doesn't do well with those 3-D embellishments!

Catching up

Things have been so hectic here...in a good way at least...that I've neglected my blog. So, today since it's my day off I thought I'd do a little catching up. Here are a few atcs and a "Nurse Linda" Valentine I made for my co-workers at the blood center. I found some gorgeous papers to use on these cards. The background for the fairy card is from Cosmo Cricket and the other paper used in each of these is from Making Memories. The trim at the bottom of the nurse valentine is the back of the paper used in the top one...both sides are so pretty it was hard to decide which one to use. I've added a picture of both so you can so how pretty they are. We don't have access to a lot of different papers close by so it's such a treat to find two that I've had such fun using. Don't you just love gorgeous papers? I hope everyone had a lovely Valentine's Day!

Red Lead House Swap

Here are all the house ATC's I received from the Red Lead July swap. I think they're just wonderful! I love the house shapes...there's everything from birdhouses to fairy houses, little pink houses to a house with Mrs. Beasley in the window! I'll never get tired of this subject...I think the idea of house and home strikes a chord in all of us. Thank you to Kim, Kathy, Linda, Susan, Allison, Sally, Susie, Charleen and Debi for sharing your houses with me!
