Artfest 2010

I was so happy to be able to attend Artfest again this year. There's nothing quite like it...4 days of "art camp" if you will with 500 or so like minded people all going in different directions, creating all kinds of art, staying up until all hours of the morning sharing, laughing, trading and having a wonderful time. I won't mislead you...there were a few negatives. I thought the food was not so good this year and the temperature in my dorm room flip-flopped between sauna-like and frigid. But, those were small things compared with all the fun I had. I loved my classes! I took a jewelry class with Melissa Manley...who's one of the nicest people. I learned how to use Ice Resin with Susan Lenert Kazmer (who's a tiny bundle of energy) and I took a class with Linda and Opie O'Brien for the second year. I love them...their classes are so much fun and I love the piece I ended up making. I was able to meet up with Barb and Nancy who I met at Artfest last year. It hardly seemed like we hadn't seen each other in all that time...we just fell in again like it was yesterday. And it was a special treat that Cathy and her friend Susan came along this year. If you'd like to see more photos of Artfest take a look here. And if you're already dreaming of next year...take a look at the Artfest website.
